Interview 1
1. What do you like most about going to school?

That we get to learn in a happy environment where teachers and students learn from one another.

2. What would your ideal class be like?

A class where everyone feels included happy and safe and where students really understand what’s being taught.

3. What would you like to be when you grow up?

A doctor or a writer or both.

4. What would you bring from the country where you lived before?

I lived in Ireland all my life.

5. If you were the teacher tomorrow, what would you like to teach your students?

Real world issues and realistic ways of how we could tackle them.

Interview 2

1. What do you most like about going to school?

What i enjoy most about going to school is learning new things and taking part in class discussions, debates, presentations or groupwork exercises.

2. What would your ideal class be like?

My ideal class would be if everyone got opportunities to volunteer information and to be able to get to interact with each other as a method of learning.

3. What would you like to be when you’re older?

When I’m older i hope to be a lawyer and a judge or perhaps someone who is involved in politics or the government that has the power to change lives of people for the better.

4. What would you bring from the country where you lived before?

I would bring the work ethic definitely. In Somalia it’s taught from a young age that there’s a responsibility of caring and looking after yourself and others.

5. If you were the teacher tomorrow, what would you like to teach your students?

I would perhaps talk about larger issues and topics concerning our world today since its directly affecting our lives and I find myself interested in that area and believe people to have the understanding and opportunity to learn about these things as well as develop their own understanding.
