Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Crete

Panteion University of Social and Political Studies

The European Training and Research Center on Human Rights and Humanitarian Action (EKEKDAAD) of Panteion University of Social and Political Studies, Department of International European and Regional Studies, was established in 2005 to further research and intensive training seminars and simulations on human rights and humanitarian action. Since 2013 the Center has been involved in Erasmus Intensive Seminars on Civil Protection and Humanitarian Action with the migrationcrisis as a basic case study. The Center comprises two Jean Monnet Chairs, one on Human Rights and the EU and the second on EU Solidarity in Civil Protection and Humanitarian Action (Holder Prof. Maria Daniella Marouda) and a UNESCO Chair on Human rights, Peace and Democracy (Prof. St. Perrakis). EKEKDAAD organizes lectures, annual seminars and international summer schools, participates in International Moot Court competitions, international UN models and European research projects.
